One of the MANY fabulous things about Silver Bella are the swaps.
Last year I went a little over board on swapping, this year I tried to keep myself under control. I only signed up for two, a Bella Book Swap hosted by Scrappy Jessi, and the Queen of Arts Crown swap hosted by Shea of A Gilded Life .
However, following my new "Glitter the World" movement, I did go a little overboard with the glitter.
This is the crown I made Joy Campbell. It is so nice because when you create something for a fellow Bella, you know you can go overboard, in fact, it is encouraged!!
I think I was channeling a French Can Can Girl as inspiration for this crown. I have always wanted to be a French Can Can girl......
Too much information?!?!?
I found these awesome plastic dancers at a thrift store. Of course they looked so much better glittered, it was just something that had to be done. Much prettier than black shiny plastic. Then I ruffled a crepe paper skirt for the ballerina. Couldn't find any plastic French Can Can Dancers, so I had to go with a ballerina instead.
Darn.
But I thought the burlesque type feathers lent to the Can Can feel. And of course, the "coquette" part as well. No offense Joy, in no way, shape or form, do you act "coquettish". Simply for the crown my dear!!
I can't wait to see everyone else's creations for Silver Bella!!
More when I return! I will share everything else then!
xoxo, Tiffany
