Nadia, Kitty and I would like to Welcome you all to our "Show Me Your Form" Party! We are so glad you could make it. Your response to our plea was overwhelming and I really appreciate all of you who have come to our rescue. At the bottom of this post you will find all the links of the participants in today's party. Please enjoy what is sure to be some very wonderful blog posts today! Now on with the Party!
I thought it befitting for Nadia and Kitty to come to the party dressed up. And what is more dressy than a wedding gown? I pulled mine out of a box after 15 years of storage and I am so glad I did. It deserves to be out of the box and Nadia really compliments it...

What is sad about this is my eldest daughter of thirteen years said to me "Mom, is that your wedding dress? I have never seen it before!" Sad, I know, this is why this party is so great, in more ways than one!
I thought Nadia should show off more than one set of attire today since it is a fashion show type party, right? This is her more casual Sunday brunch attire...

For this special occasion, Nadia must prove to my husband that she is more than just a corpse. She and I discussed the situation and came up with the solution that since my husband is a vintage aviation buff, that what better for her to dress as than an aviator! This outfit will surely change his opinion! He might even find her "sexy" in it, who knows!

Now that Nadia has had her time in the spotlight, I would like to introduce you all to Kitty. Kitty has been here, very unassumingly for a year now. Since her appearance is less conspicuous, I don't believe Walker even knew she resided with us. She has been quietly dwelling in my craft room, amongst the glitter pixies and ribbon fairies living a lovely existence. I am glad to introduce her to you today. She has also decided to dress up for the party, She thought it appropriate to don my collection of vintage prom dresses, as they more suit her taste and personality. Nadia is much more formal and classy and Kitty is a little more flirty and youthful. Take a look...

Here she is in her second outfit of the day...

I came across Kitty at a local garage sale, and believe it or not, she is a twin. My friend Tammy was with me that day, and purchased her sister, which I am sure you will see today on her blog, Little Junk Shop. They were a lovely pair together, their vintage wire curves beckoning to us. They were not upset that we separated them, as they live close by to each other, and stay in touch.
I have much more to share with you, however my portion of the party is now over. I wanted to include those who wanted to participate that did not have a blog, or want to post, and I am glad to share the dress forms of a couple of other women as well. This first form resides with Sandy, and here is her story in her own words...

"Our favorite store 'Antiques and Moore' was closing. There was a wonderful tea room in it. I have wanted a dress form in the store forever, but it was $325. I called and asked if they might go lower. They said $250, still a lot!! I told my husband it would make a nice birthday present, and he bought it for me! See Mr. Scraps, what a bargain Nadia was! My form is named 'Auntea Moore' in memory of the shop and tea room. I love Nadia, her great shabbiness makes her so interesting and valuable. Mr. Scraps, you must cross over to the shabby chic side!" ~ Sandy
Thanks for participating Sandy! Auntea Moore is beautiful and very meaningful.
The following forms were submitted to me by Cheryl. Here is some background on her lovely Girls...
"This dress form I found at a warehouse sale for only $10! I added the vintage coat, bark cloth skirt, lovely floral hat and pearls.

This form I found at an estate sale for only $20. I decoupaged some nubby bark cloth fabric to her and added the gorgeous vintage floral hat and pearls!

This dress form I acquired from a lady that frequently shopped my antique store for only $40! I was so excited to add her to my collection!

I saved the best for last...... I was so stunned to see this vintage J.B. Bauman dress form in the Goodwill store window! I just had to have it! It was in perfect condition, so I asked to speak with the manager. She sold it to me for only $35! Love it!!! I added my favorite pink rose bib apron , vintage pink flora hat and my favorite rhinestone pins.
I love to collect vintage dress forms as you can see. I also collect vintage mannequins as well. I sell on Ebay under the name Cheryls*Cozy*Cottage. You can see more of my collections on my ME page. I have so enjoyed participating in the dress form party, Tiffany. I hope this will show your husband just how desirable vintage dress forms are to us girls!" ~ Cheryl
You are one lucky girl Cheryl! 4 Forms! All great prices and pretty, pretty, pretty!
Thank you all for sharing and visiting today in response to my cry for help. Walker, my dear sweet husband, we have either convinced you that your lovely wife IS sane after all, or that all women are nuts! I am hoping it is the first case and not the latter, as I, and these other women as well, seem to see the art and beauty in these lovely forms. If not, then go ahead and call me nuts, for I am proud of it!
Now, please go check out these other lovely blogs today!
xoxo, Tiffany
